Jointly hosted by BCi & ExploratIon Green

Presented By Frank Weary And John Branch

Exploration Green, a series of five stormwater detention pond parks converted from a former golf course, stands as a rare Harvey flood protection success story. With just Phase One--the first detention pond--partially installed, the project saved over 150 homes during Harvey in 2017 . . .

Bayou City Initiative: Stakeholder Meeting

11.14.18

To continue our mission of raising awareness of our region's vulnerability to severe flooding, we hope you joined us at BCI Stakeholder Meeting on November 14th from 4-6PM. We held an open discussion on what the policy priorities should be for our region.

Continuing the same policies that we have had before will not prepare our region for the future, solutions will require new ideas and a willingness to try new things. To improve our flood resiliency we need vision, quality information, and action. At this event, we discussed BCI’S goal of how we can build a more resilient Houston-Harris County together.
